Platelet Rich Plasma

Woman in fieldPlatelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a medical treatment that uses a patient’s own blood plasma, which has been enriched with platelets. The platelets are a natural source of growth factors, which promote healing and tissue regeneration.

PRP therapy is typically used to treat injuries, such as tendinitis, ligament sprains, and muscle strains, as well as degenerative conditions, such as osteoarthritis. It can also be used for cosmetic purposes, such as hair loss and facial rejuvenation.

The treatment involves drawing a small amount of blood from the patient, and then using a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the other blood cells. The concentrated platelets are then injected into the affected area.

PRP therapy is considered safe and effective, with minimal risks or side effects. However, it is not suitable for everyone, and your doctor will assess your medical history and condition before recommending this therapy.
